At the centre of the school’s curriculum is a series of fundamental skills relevant to the young person’s preparation for adulthood. These are related to a wide range of areas from gaining knowledge and independence to social awareness and physical development.
All pupils are encouraged to develop their skills and learning in these areas through a broad and balanced range of subjects and activities that are both enjoyable and challenging. All pupils have access to the National Curriculum core and foundation subjects and these are matched to individual abilities and needs.
All pupils are educated in their relevant year groups, but because of our admission limit, of 45 in Reception to Year 5 and 40 in Year 6, they may occasionally be split into mixed ability classes primarily based on age.
